At ThermaGreen, innovation is in our DNA. Extensive research and development places us on the cutting edge of recycling and waste-conversion technology. Our proprietary state-of-the-art process technology converts post-industrial cross-linked and close cell polyethylene foam (XLPE) into high-performing, high-value products and solutions.
All XLPE material we use is new (not previously used) and with known ingredients and content. Put simply, cross-linking is the procedure in which polymers are transformed into a thermoset product; producing higher heat resistance properties, high chemical resistance and retains shape memory. This results in a constant, high-level performance, as the material is resistant to moisture, chemicals, and micro-organisms. We are able to produce this material in a wide range of forms including rolls, planks, and custom designs—allowing for a nearly endless list of applications and installation possibilities.
Our dedication to waste and CO2 reduction, conservation of energy, and an overall cleaner environment provides us with a unique competitive advantage. We make certain our technologies are real-world ready through comprehensive research trials and testing at our Toronto headquarters, ensuring the best products and best applications in both existing and newly developed markets worldwide. Our products qualify under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), please see our Sustainability page for more information.
